In 1986, with Nissan's design chief refusing to follow the smooth, aerodynamic look of other companies, and a squarer Pulsar (N13 series) was released. Innovations included a four-wheel-drive model. The PulsarAstra relationship continued in Australia, with the Langley sold as the Pulsar there and the four-door sedan version of the Nissan called the Vector. In 1990, the N14 model finally saw Nissan conform to the rounded look. There was no Holden equivalent. The Vector name continued in Australia in this series, from 1992 to 1995. It continued to be offered in New Zealand as the Sentra. In Europe, the Sunny name continued, applied to three-, four and five-door models, alongside the Sunny California station wagon from Japan (called either the Sunny Estate or Sunny Traveller). In 1995, the N15 Pulsar was launched and sold in Europe as the Nissan Almera. New Zealand Sentras changed names (to Pulsar) during this generation as local assembly of the range ceased in favour of imports from Japan. Again, three-, four- and five-door models were offered.

Since it is an old model type of Nissan Sunny, the worst problem youd ever encounter in owning a Nissan B210 is finding parts as replacement if needed.

The second-generation Sunny launched in 1970 and was known as the Datsun 1200 in many export markets. It featured Macpherson front suspension. A coupe was added to the range, while the station wagon came in three variants. The final rear-wheel-drive Sunny from 1977 to 1981 featured numerous variants, including a fastback station wagon as well as more squared-off, utilitarian ones with three and five doors, a coupe, and two- and four-door sedans. These models appeared with Datsun 120Y and 140Y badges in some markets, though Sunny was increasingly used for export, too. The B310 was known for its high equipment levels and build quality at the time. The B11s were the first front-wheel-drive Sunnys-predating the same shift to front-wheel drive by their main Toyota Corolla rival-and were exported to the United States as the Nissan Sentra from the 1982 model year onwards. The B11 series was regarded as one of Nissan's most modern ranges at the time, and was the first to abandon the Datsun name formally (though a small 'Datsun' still appeared on boot lids for the first two years). The wagon was known in its home market as the Nissan Sunny California.
