Consumer complaints about Nissan Altima Stalling
Vehicle in question is a 2003 Nissan Altima that was purchased in Sept. 02 at Pinnacle Nissan of Scottsdale, Az. On July 11, 2003 the car after being driven a short period of time and then parked would not restart. It would turn over and the only way you could keep the engine running was to keep the RPM's up at a very high level.

Ltd. (Nissan Japan), a Japanese Corporation. The amended complaint alleged that they were injured when a Nissan Patrol automobile, which one of the Jazinis was driving in Iran, lost its rear wheel assembly and crashed; that the accident was caused by a defective part of the assembly, which broke while the automobile was running; and that Nissan Japan was careless and negligent in the design, manufacture and testing of the part. If the Jazinis' allegations were sufficient to establish a prima facie case of jurisdiction over Nissan Japan, and thus subject the latter to discovery - which the Jazinis stated at the district court hearing would be "ather extensive" - it would not be difficult for a plaintiff suing a multinational foreign corporation in the federal courts in New York, to make similar conclusory non-fact-specific jurisdictional allegations and thus obtain extensive discovery on that issue. This would require the federal courts to conduct substantial jurisdictional discovery over foreign corporations - a practice in which they have not hitherto engaged.

Another unusual option consists of two rear bucket seats (found in the Elite Package). The Maxima is so close to hitting the nail right on the head that Nissan has planned only minor updates for 2006, mostly to the vehicle's communication and entertainment systems. Impressions: Originally introduced in 1999 as a youth-inspired - and less expensive alternative to the Pathfinder - way into the Nissan world of off-roading, the Xterra has served its purpose well. Redesigned on a larger and somewhat modified Titan full-size pickup chassis for 2005, this hard-charging five-passenger off-roader bolts into 2006 with a new de-contented base "X" model. That's in addition to the S, Off Road and SE models, which are all available with rear- or four-wheel drive. The mid-sized Altima sedan was the first Nissan vehicle to receive the "Revival" treatment (back in 2002) and for 2005 was visually tweaked to match the 10 or so new or heavily revamped models that have appeared since.

Nissan Altima; expert review for used car buyers, links, buying ...
First Nissan Altima appearance in North America was in 1993. It was small (slightly bigger than Toyota Corolla) non-distinctive average Japanese-looking car which was fairly reliable. In 1998 it was redesigned slightly and received new body with very similar look. However, the 2002 Altima was a huge step forward for Nissan. It's bigger, taller, more stylish and very impressive overall. Despite of the bigger size it's just about 70 pounds heavier than its predecessor - the trunk lid and the hood made from aluminium as well as front and rear suspension components.
