Like the 240Z, the 350Z has a front-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive, a two-seat cabin, and a hatchback body. The 350Z's most obvious Z genes are the sweeping lines extending from the roof to the hatch opening and the shape of the little rear windows behind the doors.
