San Diego, California - The 2005 Nissan National Off Road Championships have arrived to the new Chula Vista International Off Road Park located only 2 miles from the Mexican border. Last weekend's action was the first ever sanctioned racing action at the spanking clean Chula Vista course. The Trophy Truck action was wild as Ed Herbst and Jason Baldwin battled all the way to the finish. Near the end, Herbst put the bumper of the #19 Trophy Truck to the rear of Baldwin's Trophy Truck resulting in a rollover. At the finish line, Baldwin gave Herbst a love tap bump as they parked. In finish line interviews, Herbst mentioned to Baldwin that the contact was accidental. Only last week did Geviss finish a week long television production in a Monster Garage segment where a host of top rated industry fabricators got together and built a trophy truck in only one week.
